I did two interviews and got hired for one contract. When you get hired depending on your project you will interact with people. I don’t know if your read their facts, but the jobs are not actually with Mecor. The individual jobs are contracts from companies that Mecor has hired to find employees. Sometimes those companies pull the contracts, sometimes the job gets finished and you might get picked up for another one or you have to apply for another one. So far I’m really enjoy it. Unlike some other companies I worked for in AI, they actually pay you for your full time and training. Last company paid for task completion only which meant I spent hours on training for nothing because the project stopped. This one actually tracks time.

Talk to them. You sound pretty noided out. Dude they are one of the largest technology companies. No one wants your data or whatever it is you’re fearful of. They just need good people to work with. That’s it man.

It’s so common practice nowadays for online employment searches did say they have positions open when they absolutely do not. It makes it so easy to scam people—through misleading the job seeker to get their resumes and contact information, then load into a list database that they can sell—at the very least. I lost my job during Covid and ultimately wound up retiring. I still get text messages today. I will probably get text messages for the rest of my life as long as I have the same phone number. 🙈🙈🙈

Looked up the Merc hashtag on TikTok to find some opinions, and the videos are 90 percent “get an easy high-paying job!” paid influencer marketing. In an interview for bilingual tech writer, I spent 3 hours translating and writing prompts. At the time I figured “this is what the work looks like,” but in retrospect it feels like free labor. I stepped up to the interview since LinkedIn notified me 4~5 times of the same job, with slightly different titles and an escalating hourly wage. So the question is: does the CFPB still exist?
