Why is the community responsible for restoring the power and not the county’s power company? The power company can start legal actions against the truck company. I don’t understand it, unless the community jumped the gun because they didn’t want to wait on the power company.

If the truck was all wheels on the road, it’s 13 ft 6 inches. The utilities are buy law 15 ft all lines over traversed public roads and alleys. Utilities at fault not the trucking company.

This is not the trucking company fault because the electric company is responsible for making sure the lines are secure and not hanging down further than they should be

There are laws that say power lines are to be 14 feet. Trucks at 13’6. The electric company is responsible for lines being to low

Why isn't the power company doing anything? They should have repaired the lines the next day and they should sue the trucking company for the cost.

Welcome to Texas where corporations and companies don't take responsibility for their actions.

The issue with Texas is that the company that you buy electricity from and the company that maintains the system are separate. Everything is privatized. Why is the news organization calling the trucking company and not the electric distribution company.
