This protest has nothing to do with social media bans and everything to do with corruption. Yes, Gen Z rose up and burned down Parliament, and I’m proud of them for standing against a broken system. But let me be very clear: the images of department stores being destroyed, banks being looted, and airports falling into chaos are not the actions of Gen Z. Gen Z in Nepal are responsible and smart enough to know their limits. They ended their protests after the Prime Minister resigned. The ongoing violence is being carried out by Prachanda (a TERRORIST) and his network, not by Gen Z. Unfortunately, because this violence is happening alongside the youth protests, the media is portraying it as if Gen Z is behind the chaos. Social media must be careful and accurate in reporting. Gen Z stopped once their goal was achieved. What we are seeing now is terrorism, not a Gen Z protest. P.S. Prachanda is missing in action (MIA).
