you could have used a leather conditioner to soften the leather on the back panel and the E logo on the side before you wore them ..might help with it cracking .

I honestly love this take and the fact that you’re just going through the motions while wearing them out. I’m in the same boat, I wear most of my shoes but I have those I just don’t and like to look at becuase of the memories and would hate to ruin them … but like others say too, you gotta wear them, and I think the cool part in that is you are making new memories with something you care about because of the old memories the original pair brought you. It’s like the shoes are telling you to go out and make new memories with them and like you said, they’re gonna die with you, I guess that’s the shoes soul purpose -lmao. the reason is because you didn't wear them sneaker head love the excuse of proper climate control etc yes that may help but if don't wear them they will eventually dry rot
