Oh, this is weird. My father worked at Vandenburg Air Force Base from 2001-2006. He had a very high security clearance and for most of my life, I didn't know what my dad did for work, I was told hes a 'rocket scientist' and never went deeper than that. Ill have to ask him about this now that hes retired.
