First. They went to prison because they are a wealthy family that are reality stars. They wanted to make examples out of them, but would give the everyday average person probation or house arrest. Second, according to a source on his legal team the DA threw out a lot of evidence that could’ve let the Crisley’s walk, but chose to do everything they could to prosecute them. The business partner was friends with the DA, Lindsey was playing both sides just so she could go against Todd and Julie, and she was really working with the fbi. Third, Julie was a housewife who signed her name as a spouse signing jointly to the tax form so she should’ve gotten nothing or just probation. They didn’t get a fair trial.
