@jen.liveyourbestlife: ✨ The Story We Tell Ourselves ✨ So often, we live inside the narratives we’ve created in our own heads. We replay conversations, assume intentions, and build entire stories around what we think. But here’s the truth: what we think is not always what we know. I’ve been doing the shadow work, the uncomfortable work of asking myself— Why do I feel this way? Where is this story coming from? What do I actually know to be true? Every time I catch myself drifting into the spiral of “what ifs,” I reach for my journal. I put pen to paper and separate my feelings from facts. Because feelings are valid, but they don’t always equal truth. The byproduct of living in our heads is that we miss our actual lives. We get so caught up in imagined realities that we forget to live in the one unfolding right in front of us. When we pause, breathe, and ground ourselves in what we know—we return to presence. We return to peace. And that’s where freedom lives.

Shai Youth Oppose Proposed Royal Visit to Dodowa; Police Call for Calm Amid Rising Tensions The youth of the Shai Traditional Area have called for the immediate cancellation of a proposed royal visit by the Paramount Chief of Akwapim to Dodowa, citing concerns over an ongoing traditional dispute involving Lower Dodowa. At a press conference held on 5th August 2026, the youth said they strongly oppose the planned visit, which is expected to take place at the Old Ghana Park. They appealed to the Paramount Chief of Akwapim, Nana Kwasi Akuffo II, to decline the invitation in the interest of peace and stability. The youth also urged the organizers to cancel the event and called on the Minister for the Interior, the National Security Council, the Inspector-General of Police, the Greater Accra Regional Security Council, and other relevant state institutions to take proactive steps to prevent any breach of the peace. They, however, appealed to the youth and residents of Shai to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while the matter is handled through the appropriate legal and traditional processes. Responding to the concerns, the Dodowa Police Divisional Commander, ACP. Innocent Kwaku Amemo assured the public that the Police are actively monitoring the situation. He disclosed that, upon reviewing the notification received by the Police, it was found that the organizers had not complied with the required legal provisions governing such a public event. According to the Commander, the organisers have therefore been advised to address the outstanding requirements before any further consideration. The Dodowa Police Divisional Commander, ACP. Innocent Kwaku Amemo further appealed to residents to exercise patience and restraint, stressing that the Police, in collaboration with the Regional Command and other stakeholders, are working to ensure that law, peace, and public order prevail in Dodowa.
