Had issues for years with my knee dislocating and usually I can pop it back in myself but at the time, i physically couldn’t. Went into a&e in a wheelchair for xrays and had some old folks scoffing at me saying I’m too young to be in a wheelchair. Openly, quite loudly, talking about how I’m just fat and lazy and need to go exercise. You wanna know what they were there for?……they had a headache. When I tell you I was ready to throw punches had I not been in excruciating pain 😭

I was squirming in 10/10 pain with a gallstone stuck in my bile duct and a Karen told me to stop fiddling. I couldn’t sit still because I was in AGONY. Thankfully I was only sat in the waiting room for 30minutes

When I was being rushed out of A&E and to resus because I was SO ILL. I got the dirtiest look from one women. Sorry Karen, they think I am gonna go into cardiac arrest.

I once sat next to someone who had a stuck tampon, although I was violently sick, she was quite entertaining (apparently she was doing cartwheels outside to help). I often think about her, tampon lady if you're out there I hope you're doing okay ✨

I was in a&e on Monday, was passing ALOT of bl00d from where bl00d shouldn’t come from. I had my leg up on my seat to stop said blood from coming out. A man came and sat next to me and commented to his wife that there was people sleeping and ‘that woman has her foot on the seat’ I turned to him and looked him dead in the eyes and told him how it was and what would happen should I move said foot. He soon apologised.

I had a senior surgon telling me I didnt look like I was in pain, cause I was smiling (I awkward smile) turns out my appendix had twisted on itself so I needed emergency surgery!

while my lungs were filling with fluid when I was 7 and I was actually DYING there were still people insisting I was fine but their sniffle couldn't wait 😭

I called 111 thinking I was being really dramatic because I had an awful “cold”, turns out it was a cold… but also a bacterial sinus infection 🙃

I called 111 after throwing up for an hour (mum corrected that to 3 hours) I asked them can I take an anti sickness tablet and head to bed. they asked for more symptoms and I told them I had UTI symptoms going on 4 days. 111 told me under no circumstances should I go to sleep and ordered an ambulance. my brother took me to a&e instead because I still thought I was being dramatic. people in the waiting room scoffed about how I didn't look ill and was clearly faking as my brother helped me to a seat because of how unsteady I was on my feet could tests later and the nurse told me I had a kidney infection and was borderline sepsis. had I waited until the following morning it would have been a lot harder to treat me. 3 weeks of intensive antibiotics before I was clear of any infection markers.

It’s the ones that say they can’t breath & then make squeaky noises to prove the point. Makes me chuckle to myself. Last time I was in there for a dislocated wrist & broken thumb. So many people complained that I got seen before them . When I was bleeding from the exposed bone.

the worse Karen I got was a male nurse he said to me im going to sit here and watch u die im not going to help you i was on the phone saying goodbye to my tiny kids and my family it was lucky a nice nurse come over and I can send u to another hospital to save your life i said yes and when I got there I had less than 2 pints of blood in my body the new doctors said I should of been dead hours ago no one can survive with this amount of blood your a medical miracle

I went in the emergency room for a dislocated elbow and every one was looking at me like why am I in there.

Please do more of these, this is so true, I was taken in a year ago with a suspected spleen issue, I’d had pain for a week and just kept pushing through it, Had one nurse say I shouldn’t be there as I was talking to others in the fit to sit area Baring in mind everytime I moved it reduced me to tears with the sheer amount of pain I was experiencing, thankfully it was a trapped nerve under my Rib but that HURTS, Everyone was actually trying to keep me occupied to take my mind off the pain x
