The last one is my dog 😑here’s her with an alter 🤣 where r u located she barks and lunges at anyone I taken her out to socialize and she still scars I did food sometimes she takes other times no what am I doing wrong I make sure to move away where she not barking but her tail

thank you for your dedication to these dogs. We rescued a 10 month retriever/collie mix 2 months ago and she is/was fearful of everything. We believe she didnt get the socialization she needed as a puppy and that is why she is afraid of everything. She also has a fear of men. When we got her we didnt realize how much work she truly needed but I think I needed her as much as she needed me. In just two months she has gone from hiding in her cage or cowering in the corner to being by my side and learning that she has a home that loves her. She still has a long way to go but im confident she will turn into a great companion. I'm not a dog trainer nor do I have experience with her breed but we're learning together. My question for you: what do you suggest when she isnt food motivated? Anytime she is out in public or exposed to something that makes her uncomfortable she will not take a treat. I've taught her yes and praise her but is there anything else I could do to communicate to her that things arent scary or do I just keep exposing her to things and praising her since she isnt food motivated? Thanks!

I have a 1 year old Pitty she’s 25lbs, it’s as big as she’s going to get. She came into my work (I’m a vet tech) when she was 5m old, a “rescue” brought her up from the south, put her in a shed (without human contact) with other dogs and she was mauled by 4 dogs and left for 4 days before they brought her in to the clinic at deaths door, I had them sign her over to me and I saved/rehabbed her. Now she’s very dog selective (can’t blame her) I have four other dogs and she keeps going after my one female. I’ve muzzle trained the little 25lb rocket, she’s also on behavioral medication, I refuse to give up on her. If I lived in Florida I’d be doing training with you in a heartbeat.
