I farm 700+ acres. Cash crop and 75 beef cows and work 40+ at the local Ethanol plant. it can be the most stressful and exhausting thing to do. Plan on vacations where there is no way you can even answer the phone.

I cash crop, but I also work off farm I am an operation manager agriculture business the supplies fertilizer, crop protection feed all the needs of farmers need and want and it is a very busy hectic schedule to juggle both

I use to work off farm at the school cafeteria but I really liked being on farm and had some babies so I raised them in the barn and stayed working on farm now own the farm. 🐄

I am a hairstylist! I work at a salon in a nearby town. I work 2 12 hour days. So not available on the farm at all those 2 days but I have been known to have to help with something when I get home.

My sister and her husband tomy family dairy farm. My parents still live on the farm. My dad is active on the farm, but my sister does work off farm full-time. She’s a nurse. Her husband works full-time on the farm.

I can’t say for myself but when I a young teen my dad had to work in town to keep the dairy going at our local grain elevator. But unfortunately lost the dairy in 2008

My kids have the Farm now their eighth generation. One is a licensed plumber. One is a manager at a fertilizer plant. And I’m a highway superintendent. I’m Dad. We all work on the farm after 4 o’clock. Dairy farm.

So Baker at night, which works great for the farming end of it cause then I come home from work nap you get up your milk. Do stuff around the farm. Hopefully catch another nap. Eat supper. Milk Anne go back to work.

🙋♀️factory worker 2nd shift. Im on maternity leave right now. but the plan is do help milk in mornings and take care of the baby until I have to go to work. then husband does chores at night with the baby.
