@aquariumarts: Lionfish are one of the most striking predators you can add to a saltwater aquarium 🦁🐟 but they’re not a beginner-friendly choice. They’re venomous, grow large depending on the species, and will eat anything small enough to fit in their mouth—including inverts. They come in different sizes: Volitans (large), Devil (medium), and dwarf species like Zebra and Fu Manchu (small). Feeding can take patience, as many need to be trained onto frozen food, but once they transition they’re hardy and relatively easy to care for. If you’re considering one, just make sure your tank is big enough and stocked with compatible tank mates. Want to see one up close? I used to run a heavy lb monofilament threw frozen shrimp. I'd put a knot in the line first and that would help keep the shrimp on. then just dangle it in front of them for a bit and they'll bite. They want the movement at first
