sit down and write your mom a letter tell her how you felt tell her how you’re feeling. Tell her what you wish. You could’ve told her if she was here. Take that letter after you’ve gotten it all out go outside set it on fire and allow all of those ashes to rise up to where she is todayand no, she heard you she saw you she understands you.

From a licensed counselor: try writing her a letter and tell her everything you never got to. You can do this anytime something comes up. You burn the letter or put it up somewhere. It just helps to get the emotions out. ❤️

As a girl who is the same boat but whose mother is alive but so toxic we are estranged-u deserve peace. If your mom would have lived to be 100-odds r nothing changed. What I love being about a mom is getting to be the mom I needed for my daughter. I get to heal what my mother refuses to acknowledge thru her. But I totally understand wishing and hoping that your mom was your best friend.

I’ve always heard you have two chances at a mother/child relationship.. once with your own mom and once as the mom. Make the most of your relationships with your children. You can’t change yours and your mom’s so make it really count with your children. Give them that relationship you craved with your mom. Break the cycle and you will heal a little each day.
