What I did do -> I thought outside of the box, never gave up, and I was sincerely naively optimistic, maybe even a bit crazy. When you find something you are passionate about, it keeps you in the game on the hard days & on the days you feel like you are getting nowhere. Sometimes I need to take breaks, I've gotten burnout a few times now. But, each time I come back with a new idea or revelation about how we could solve waste and recycling in action sports. That vision keeps me going even if the path to get there is not linear.
