@tinyheartseducation: When Eli was carried into an ambulance, his parents thought he just had croup. What they didn’t know was that it had escalated into stridor, a life-threatening condition where swelling makes it dangerously hard for a child to breathe. In my time as a paramedic, I’ve treated many little ones rushed to hospital with croup. I’ve seen the fear in parents’ eyes when that barking cough turns into noisy, struggling breaths. I’ve also seen the relief when treatment kicks in fast. The truth is, croup isn’t always straightforward. For most kids, it’s mild and manageable at home. For some children like Eli, it can turn critical within minutes. Knowing the signs to watch for and when to escalate can make all the difference. Thank you to Eli’s parents and all the beautiful families who shared their croup videos with us. It is such an important part of our mission to save little lives 💜

So glad you shared this! It’s so important to raise awareness! My child has croup which ended up into a hospital stay after his ribs started to suck in and I was terrified for his life! Thank goodness for the doctors who finally listened to me and helped my baby xx
