@joemcguigan: 24mm over 25mm bit? Do you do the same, or something different? I find this generally much neater. 25mm faceplate isn’t very forgiving for the 25mm drill bit. #doors #chippy

I always have trouble not getting the hole to widen even the slightest bit, which will be seen next to the faceplate. I’ve been using a forsner bit which seems to help

I use a 19mm with the sauber and make an oval shape. You get more beef on the faces of the doors for fixings

always used to use a 22mm for this reason and chisel out the top for the latch, a tubular latch that's only 20mm diameter would be a dream

faucner bit cuts nicer than a spade bit. is tapered and pulls itself in so easier and cleaner cut
