Terry Ridon has publicly defended Zaldy Co, stating in an interview that Mr. Co has already divested from the concerned interests. However, such statements seem to insult the intelligence of ordinary citizens!! as if we are incapable of discerning the truth. Meanwhile, Bryce Hernandez is reportedly being detained at a different facility and has not been returned to the Senate. According to the Senate President, this was done upon the request of House Speaker Martin Romualdez. This raises serious questions about due process and the independence of our institutions. We are dealing with public funds here!! this is the people’s money. As Senator Dante Marcoleta pointed out, many in our society appear to be turning a blind eye to wrongdoing, as if we’re collectively on a path toward moral and institutional decay. What kind of governance are we under when accountability becomes optional?!! 😡😡😡
