arescot :
and it took nepal only TWO days. On day 1, they had a peaceful protest that the politicians hired trained thugs in police uniform to protect them and turn against the people. On day 2, they imposed a curfew. Everyone thought the people would stay home so they can save their lives but instead, by afternoon people were pouring out onto the streets, enraged by the fact that their taxes were funding nothing but the extremely lavish lifestyles of the politicians and their 25-40 year old kids. Instead of one place, people started gathering locally, burning down homes and properties of the politicians and so much more. They even apprehended opportunists who tried to steal things from the homes or properties and took video evidence for later. The country was fed up. It's sad but it was an incredibly insane one-day event. On day 3 again, they took to the streets to clean up all the mess, rebuild the streets and what they could, finding people who stole things from places during the chaos and gathered everything to hand it over, giving water and snacks to soldiers on duty, citizen's arrest on criminals, etc. It's beautiful. Day 1, peaceful protest. Day 2, revolution. Day 3, rebuilding. Hope the country takes a much-needed turn for the good.
