The case is still in court but the judge denied the cops qualified immunity, claiming that no reasonable cop could overlook the difference in name, age, address, height, weight, hair color and so on. Moreover, there were multiple opportunities for them to fix their mistake but they chose to do nothing. Even after being spoken to by family and friends who all confirmed that they had the wrong person, they still didn't do the most basic investigation.
