On January 26, 2020, NBA legend Kobe Bryant boarded a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter in Orange County, California, with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, traveling to a youth basketball tournament at his Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks. The group took off around 9:06 AM, but heavy morning fog in Los Angeles created poor visibility. The pilot attempted to navigate through the clouds and circled near Burbank and Glendale before heading toward Calabasas. At 9:45 AM, while climbing to avoid the fog, the helicopter suddenly banked left and descended rapidly, crashing into a hillside at about 1,085 feet. All nine passengers on board were killed instantly. Emergency crews arrived quickly but found no survivors. The tragedy sent shockwaves across the world, as fans, athletes, and leaders mourned the loss of Kobe, his daughter Gianna, and the others, marking one of the darkest days in sports history. I don't have much to say but I'd like thank all those who requested for Kobe in the comments. It actually made me understand more on what actually happened the day him, his daughter Gianna and the passengers who they were traveling with sadly lost their lives. My tribute goes out to all their families. I tried my best making this as respectful as I possibly could.
