@abbyjmua: DO’s to be the makeup artist brides gush about! 🤍 DO have patience, understanding and kindness. In the bridal industry you will have brides that know exactly what they want, they will be able to tell you every detail you need to know to achieve their perfect glam. You will also have brides that have no idea which is okay! Yes a bride will remember the way you made her look but she will equally, if not more, remember the way you made her feel 🤍 DO provide a safe space to communicate. I almost make my clients second guess whether they even like their makeup by asking ‘are you sure you don’t want any tweaks!?’ way too many times (Probably isn’t a good thing either😂). Moral of the story, you know you’ve done your job if you’ve made your bride feel comfortable enough to tell you if they want something changed 🤍 DO allow time for wiggle room. Self explanatory but you will never regret having too much time to do the brides makeup 🤍 DO read the room. This can cover quite a few things but one that sticks out in my brain is to do with content and filming. In my opinion, always ask, don’t force it and it should be about the makeup first and the content second. Not everyone wants to be filmed and that’s okay! Get the content another time 🤍 Notice that this has nothing to do with the actual makeup skills? #abbyjmua #makeuptips #bridalmakeupartist #bride
