sure, in laboratory conditions. but if I leave manic panic in for 30 minutes it'll wash out 70% in the first two (cold) washes, and be gone in two months, whereas if I leave it 2+ hours it'll cure in 2 washes and literally stain my hair to the point that it's still visible after 6 months. IDK about dye depositing or protein bonds or keratin structures or anything else, but I know a bottle of dye costs me $20+ and I am lazy so I'll keep watching a movie with a plastic bag over my hair twice a year 😅

i wrap my head in saran wrap and sleep in it 😂 even if its not depositing more color i feel better about it and my hair is softer lmao (i use arctic fox)

I used to use iro iro, its oil based so I'd hairdry it while it was sitting to give it like a hot oil treatment stain to my hair. my pink never faded

I find if I leave my semi permanent colour longer than 30/40 mins I can’t wash the dye out properly and it covers everything I own. Idk why that is, but it’s so annoying.

I leave it on until I have the energy to wash it off, sometimes that’s 45, sometimes that’s 4 hours, I don’t expect it to make ot last longer or be a different colour, I’m just disabled 😂
