Paid 32 dollars (not including a tip) for 4 pieces of small baklava from here (shocking seeing someone else say it’s $3 a piece because now I’m wondering if we were purposely overcharged)…when I saw the total my jaw dropped because never in my life have I paid 8 dollars per piece for some baklava. Got home to taste it and thought “this better be the best baklava I’ve ever ate for 32 bucks”…disappointing and stale. Highly recommend st Pete bakery cafe up in downtown st Pete. 7 bucks for 4 pieces and the guy working inside is always so friendly and lovely towards us. Free refill on Turkish coffee and tea as well. You’re definitely going to be paying the “st Armand’s tax” at this place😅

Sarasota & Siesta Key Eats :
Love all the comments. I think a visit to Ephesus is more about tranquility, mystery, and ceremony. For the same price (a little cheaper) than Starbucks, you get to experience a hot sand brewed coffee, friendly service in a time honored tradition. A small bite of baklava adds just a bit of sweetness to go with the coffee. I encourage those visiting to keep an open mind and enjoy the experience. I know I did. For those looking for value, the walnut baklava, was a larger piece (plenty for 2 or 3 to share with their coffee) and was def a better value than the pistachio. Enjoy your experience.

Why am I finding all these cool spots in Sarasota after I moved from Sarasota? Saving this for the next time I’m in town though.
