I’m a 15 year old who’s been in the fandom for a few years now, I’m a irl and online furry…. And I was groomed once when I was about 13, it was a 19 year old who did it, I’m not going to point at names though. They took advantage of the fact that I was overly supportive and kind, used it for an outlet of sexual content and interaction, even though I tried to close that door several times. I’m no longer interacting with this person anymore luckily. Please note that I don’t want pity, but to inform that this does happen, through another shared experience.

I am a 13 year old furry in the fandom.. I am in the fandom irl and on VRChat... I was groomed by a 23 year old.. I will not say his name for reasons... He has reposted this video.. He has put the blame on me... Saying I put it on myself and I pushed for it.. But I was scared... And this stuff is not acceptable.. over sexualization in the fandom is a big problem and crossing boundaries. That makes the space to feel unsafe, toxic even, because there are certain expectations in many groups. And in most communities I've been moderation is lacking, bad behavior ignored. Thank you for your voice of reason in all of this

Honestly that's exactly why I stopped talking to other furries. I can't even count how many randoms or even acquaintances have tried this. also, other furs, if theyre the same age as you and are nice, it doesnt mean they automatically 'want' you.
