✨ Transparency Post ✨ Whew. This one was hard to hit upload on. For anyone waiting on my 75 Selfish Challenge… this was the holdup. 2020 had me in a chokehold. PPD, isolation, a brand-new human in a body I didn’t recognize, and a driving anxiety that kept me stuck in a 3-mile radius (highways? never heard of her). My weight yo-yo’d like it was training for the Olympics. I knew all the tools, but couldn’t access them. Gratitude? Chile, please. Meditation? Sounded like a soundtrack to my villain origin story. I poured into everybody else and forgot myself. I made their appointments, showed up for their milestones, made their celebrations larger than life… and when it came to me, I disappeared. Then last July, I got really sick. Hospitalized sick. The doctors said if I hadn’t made it in, I wouldn’t be here. I took all of August to recover, and on September 1st I made a promise. September to September, I would be consistent. I would show up—for me. And guess what? Nobody died. Nothing fell apart. Turns out, when I’m good, everybody else is better. Since then, I’ve logged 3,600 miles of not-so-solo road trips with Dash, reconnected with my people, let myself be celebrated (again, nobody died), finished the Manifest Guide I started in 2018, and even dropped a whole Frequency album. But the real flex? Gratitude. I became grateful for the “fat girl” version of me too. She’s the one who carried me here, who kept showing up even when I couldn’t. That’s why some of you think I’m all about working out, but truthfully, I’m just about showing up for her like she showed up for me. This year taught me the map back to myself, and no matter what detours I take, I’ll never lose it again. Proof that choosing yourself is the real glow-up. #Transparency #Selfish75challenge #recovery #healing
