An “avoidant” is just a person unable to regulate their emotions and severely lack emotional intelligence in general. It’s not cute. It’s not an excuse. And it’s not anyone else’s problem but their own. Let them leave. You’ll be better in the long run

I will never believe that I mattered to him. The discard was too brutal and shows me I meant nothing and it was never love but a lie. I let him go and gave him what he wanted. He can go whatever he wants now.

i had to leave bc he couldn’t. there was no emotional vulnerability, no accountability, and no romance. he was fine with that bc it felt safe to him. no amount of communication, support, or understanding from my end could change that. he refused to grow for us.
