@holly_walshx: Things I am working on to help me improve my handstands while not directly training g handstands: End range training for my shoulders. Basically I’m working on building strength in the very end ranges of my shoulders so I can go very deep into Mexican handstands in the future and feel nice and stable. I want to be able to push as deep as I can not only for the best shape but in order to feel strong in the handstand position knowing that if I do go very deep into my shoulders, I’ll be strong enough to hold it and be ok. I’m not training handstands a lot at the moment because I’m having some more mental wobbles with them. I put a lot of pressure on myself after my last handstand video performed very very well. It all got into my head and I started overthinking and not being able to hold them again. I’m working with my handstand coach so k do a lot with him. I do a lot against the wall and on plyo boxes and just get used to being upside down and not freaking out and overthinking. Is that where I want to be? No. And that’s ok. I know it’s just mental and I know I just need to remind myself what it should feel like and learn to trust my body. It’s a very rocky journey. Will probably be a lot smoother for most people but let it be messy. Get up and try again. #flexibility #flexible #stretching #fyp #stretch
