Charlie was shot for using freedom of speech because he was able to reach millions of people, especially college students. This was intimidating for the left side therefore I believe whoever shot Charlie did so to ensure he would not become our future president or anywhere near that. Nobody's "celebrating" his death, but let's not ignore the irony here. This is someone who openly defended the idea that "it's worth having a cost of some gun deaths every single year." Those were his words not anyone else's. It's tragic that he died this way, but this is the reality of the world he helped normalize & fought to protect. He believed the risk was worth it & now he became part of that risk. So why is everyone suddenly shocked and upset? He stood by a system that prioritizes gun rights over safety, and unfortunately, he paid the price for it. It's harsh, but he died exactly the way he said was acceptable. His death proves exactly what he argued for.
