I bought a Matco cart off my snap on guy, texted my Matco guy saying I need new slides, he ordered me all brand new slides for it even though he knows I got it from the snap on truck. warranty is only as good as your dealer

I had no problem having my Matco guy get me new slides for my Tool cart. He never asked me if I bought it.

Snapon will warranty the box fully. I sold a used repo box today and if they call me with a problem, I will order the parts that day. I personally partner with 30+ dealers. We stand behind product

Here’s my two cents, as a MATCO dealer myself. I will replace used MATCO box slides on my dollar if it’s a customer I take care of. Of course it isn’t corporate company policy, I believe a MATCO box should take care of slides no matter what. I’ve been a dealer for 8 years and going strong.

we had a tech buy a snap on box off marketplace and the snap on man on our route would not warranty the slides on his box or the plastic guides because he's not original owner as well, I feel like they make there own rules

Bought a used older Mac Maczimizer 1990 on marketplace. Wheels and slides were done. Called Mac and shipped new slides, complete wheel assemblies. No questions asked.

The warranty policy from Matco itself is for the original owner technically. Serial number has to be legible and the box can’t be on the repo list because technically if it was on the repo list, it probably never got paid off. Unfortunately a lot of people sell their boxes that aren’t paid off on marketplace (Snap-On included). Distributors should make sure used boxes are paid off prior to trade in.

THIS is why we miss Craftsman, especially now that Sears is gone. Whoever is making them now is not keeping the quality up, and it is not as simple to trade in a damaged tool. I am in my 50s, and I only remember trading in 2 pieces, which were older than me at the time. Great quality for a home mechanic that kept our family vehicles running for decades.
