I have thrifted several formals for special occasions at Platos Cliset. Not a dress but I thrifted running shoes - Asiacs & Brookes, never worn with the tags on them, for a total of $20!

I found my junior prom dress on sale for 75 and needed no tailoring. I found my senior prom dress at goodwill for 5 and did have to get it hemmed, it we have a family friend. It doesn’t need to be super expensive
