Charlie is indeed a true christian. He proclaimed the word of God and His glory 'till the end. I pray that I have his courage, strength, faith, and braveness, too, to speak the truth.

I don't know, Gabe. There are times when silence is needed. Kirk's ideals were abhorrent and vile, but the way his life was taken from him was brutal, and nobody (just like you said), not even him, deserved that. I cannot force you to feel empathy for that man, but maybe instead of continuing to criticize him, we could have just shared an important lesson: that violence is never the key to living a peaceful life, regardless of how good your intentions may be.

he had his views and opinions but those were merely his beliefs, he didn’t act on it. he didnt cause the death of those children in Gaza, nor victims of gun violence. he was just debating. people need to accept that we can have different opinions on things.

YEP!!! YEPP!! YESSSS!!! He kept on dehumanizing Gazans! I will never feel sadness for his passing if he didn’t even feel that sadness about the children who died because of Israel’s crimes.

‘He was a husband and a father’- yes, and so were the victims of gun violence, the Palestinians he dehumanized, the victims of the vicious health care policies of Trump that he supported, the Congolese men, the Sudanese men, immigrant men that drown on the way to safety..

Lemme give you a hypothetical. Your mother shared her political/personal views on public and she debated with them, she stood for what she believed and in her interest, she then gets shot by an individual who has the opposing views. Would you say your mother deserved that?

It feels like poetic justice tbh. I’m not in a state of celebration about it, nor am I empathetic towards him. I saw someone say that at the end of the day, he did nurture the environment that lead to his death.

Every truth is meant to hurt. It’s not meant to make anyone comfortable. He spoke the truth. Everyone knew he was always right. They couldn’t accept truth, so somebody chose to silenced him.

Do I think he should’ve died? No, am I sad? No, am I happy? No, am I putting myself above Charlie who didn’t believe in empathy and still being empathetic for his family? Yes.

He was never disrespectful, he stated his views and backed it up with data, at a time where it’s so difficult to be Christian he spoke up and was proud of being one.

he died by what he stood for. he said that gun deaths were a worth cost to keep their second right amendment, refusing to advocate for gun control. and now, how ironic that he died by getting sh0t. he got what he exactly deserved.
