It’s sad that apparently his kids and wife were there and would have watched their loved one die. That’s the only sadness I feel. But I am more sad about the Colorado school shooting. It’s terrible. Something needs to change.

he made that statement referring to the fact that if guns are allowed there’s going to be deaths.. it’s inevitable. he wasn’t praising death or wanting it to happen…he was explaining that reducing death to zero while also having guns be legal is unrealistic - it’s what comes with the price of our second amendment right. no it’s not a great thing to think about but having the right to protect ourselves is important. deaths happen but doesn’t mean that it’s not a horrible tragedy when it does. i pray for his family and hopefully they can find peace with this and for his poor babies who now have to grow up without a father. The left preaches about gun violence but they are the ones using guns in these kinds of ways. look at chicago - HUGE democratic city - look at all the violence that happens there… this country needs some serious help and a big reality check. this is so uncalled for and it’s really sad that this is becoming a norm in our society.

Do we know that the gun of the killer was legal gun? As a woman who live in country where one time the government went against his own people and killed them, you should keep your gun. Guns only in the hands of a government (police,army) is wrooong.

In Slovakia the Guns are not banned completly, but before you get a gun you need to go trough psycho tests and background check. After that you will get firearms license that needs to be renewed every couple of years. Is it not like that in America?

The 2nd amendment he stood for was exactly that. “protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms, primarily for lawful purposes such as self-defense.” Example, home invasions, animal attacks etc. Guns aren’t & never will be the problem. David killed Goliath with a rock. When guns fall in the wrong set of hands is where the problem is. If a war broke out and you aren’t gun owners how can you defend yourself against people who are. Protecting yourself is what he stood for. No where is safe anymore. That’s why we must always protect ourselves.
