My grandma said when she lived in Darien, she had been sitting down smoking a cig on our balcony that’s a few feet off the ground in our backyard (there’s woods). She suddenly felt as if someone was watching her from the ground below behind her. She thought it was a peeping tom and had told him to go away/scram but she didn’t care to check. Suddenly she heard something moving in the bushes behind her. As she looked she saw a figure of a wolf that stood above 7-8 feet on its hind legs with glowing yellow eerie eyes staring right at her. It huffed at her and stared at her. It continued to rummage through the bushes of the garden of the neighbor beside her. She screamed loudly and headed inside to tell my grandpa. He didn’t believe her and called her crazy. She wanted to tell the reporters ever so badly and never got the chance to tell anyone besides me and my siblings. She believed it was the beast of bray road from Elkhorn.
