The comments people feel entitled to make about someone’s body are absolutely exhausting. I remember when I was heavier, people thought it was their duty to tell me I “should lose weight.” It was like my body was public property open for review. Now, after losing 210 pounds, those same types of people turn around and say I “should gain some weight.” That right there is what’s wrong with the world. No matter what you do, someone will always have something to say about your body, and it’s never their place. What so many don’t understand is just how deeply hurtful these comments can be. They’re not just passing words—they stick. They echo in your mind late at night and creep into the way you see yourself in the mirror. People think they’re being helpful, funny, or even caring, but they’re actually pouring salt into wounds they can’t even see. They don’t know the battles you’ve fought to get where you are. They don’t know the tears, the discipline, the setbacks, or the victories. At the end of the day, your body is yours. Nobody else gets a say. Health is personal, appearance is personal, and your journey is personal. Unless asked, people need to learn to keep their mouths shut about weight. Compliment the smile, the energy, the glow—but leave the scale and size commentary behind. Words can either build or break someone, and unfortunately, society has been too comfortable breaking others down. I fought like hell to become who I am today, and I refuse to let careless comments define me anymore. #MindYourMouth #StopBodyShaming #WeightLossJourney #RespectTheJourney #StrongerThanWords
