CCU and PACU were the only placements I truly enjoyed! The respiratory ward comes in a close second, primarily because of the supportive staff and the overall environment. However, the workload and demands from multiple patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team can be overwhelming for me. I am really hoping to secure a job at CCU as a NQN.

i’d had surgical wards in second year and i loved it so much so i never ever thought i’d love gen med but that’s what i got for christmas of third year, absolutely fell in love and then did extra hours and consolation placements there and got my job! it’s an absolute crackhouse at times but gen med is life!! 🥰

My first job when newly qualified was on CCU and I loved it!! It’s slightly overwhelming to begin with because it’s so specialised but you learn soooo much and it’s so interesting. You see a good range of things and get to do such a variety of clinical skills!!!

My Mum was in CCU a couple of weeks ago fighting for her life with sepsis she has been diagnosed with cancer but those doctors and nurses saved her life she was in a coma and on a ventilator you all are heroes - thank you for everything you do xxx

I could never do hospital after community with TVN and crisis team. My 2 cardio, ccu, gynae, endo, urology so boring. Just felt robotic. Though I’m annoyed community don’t get an uplift
