I was so proud of this toile de jouy shirt that I made when I first got into sewing but I feel like as you improve your craft, you become so much more critical of your earlier work? If I were to make this shirt again I would do quite a few things differently (and use a different pattern cuz this one was from Etsy and was lowkey super shit lol). Unfortunately I can’t remake this shirt because the fabric came from a vintage cotton curtain I found on @ebay_uk and I don’t have any left. That is truly the main downside of working with vintage/reclaimed textiles: once its gone - its gone! However, I feel like I need to start wearing this shirt more despite its flaws because the fabric is WAY too beautiful and soft! I have never seen toile this gorgeous.
