Jahlani Abiola :
The older generation – still trusting TV, newspapers, and the old authorities. They grew up in a time when the state, the paper, or the radio was “truth.”
The younger generation – raised on the internet, memes, and global information. They see through manipulation instantly and know that every narrative can be twisted.
Once the older generation is gone, that silent legitimacy holding the system together disappears. Power can’t hide behind the same facade anymore.
That’s why many in power are rushing their projects right now—surveillance systems, digital currencies, new laws—because they realize their window of control is closing.
The big question is: when the illusion fully breaks, will the world face a chaotic transition (protests, unrest, maybe even violence), or a smoother shift where new systems naturally take form?
