@zuhuai.reid: asking the internet things i’m too embarrassed to ask my friends since they’ll hype me up a bit too much and i dont want to disapoint them #fyp #gaming #06
Most popular multiplayer games nowadays has a ‘not very inviting’ playerbase, HOWEVER the solution to this is always have friends who would be willing to play it with you and make it easier or have the time to teach and let you get comfortable and explore things with your own within the game. About motion sickness though its recommended for you to not play in the dark and change your FOV(field of view) in the view settings of the game if available and turn it down til its comfy. I personally have watched a lot of non-gamer friends get into Valorant casually bc their friends play it and it’s the only game they can play together and the concepts are easier to get into. Goodluck tho!

Play the Portal games! It should work for u getting used to first person and stuff, they're puzzle games with a simple concept but very well exploited, and they're old gen game so it should work fine in most PCs
Also, Portal 2 has a coop campaign so you can get to play it with a friend too

If you're just looking for an excuse to socialise more just talk to your mates and ask their reccomendations, or even just sit in call and watch em play, you'll pick up on how to play fairly quickly.
Find your niche, Solo player, what genre? Fantasy, adventure, Exploration, Puzzle, MMO there's a lot of games out there, you've gotta find the genre that best suits you interest. Explore a little. Spend a few dollars here and there

Mordern games (AAA) are... special, I would avoid them esp anything that mentions UE5.
Specifically social games (broad taste, casual gaming): Modded Minecraft, Sea of Theives, Raft, Phasmaphobia.
Join a discord to get more people to play with. But u have friends so ask them to join u

Id suggest "Peak", it's a co-op climbing game that has very easy game mechanics and even an easy mode. it also has settings to reduce motion sickness. The art style is cute and it's not a stressful game. it's like a puzzle game in a sense. check it out and good luck

everyone has horrible game suggestions, ignore them all. third person games are usually better for motion sickness; fortnite, terraria, stardew valley, wuthering waves, genshin, etc are all really easy to get in to gaming with and require little skill to start off with + most of them are free

Big tip, don't even get into any competitive games, not even casually with your friends, unless its a game you are specifically passionate about. Save yourself the trouble and pain and play more cozy games and solo story experiences. Indie games are a great gateway, I'd recommend some things like Undertale, Slime Rancher, and Skyrim are 3 games I always recommend to new gamers.
