PussInBoots :
i live in brazil, here guns are illegal, and yet in the last 10 years we had an average of 50 thousand murderers per year, researches are made in prisons and 80% of the interviewed inmates say that the main reason why they commit crimes is because they feel totally safe, they know for certain that they are the only ones armed, and they claim that they wouldn't do it if they thought that the victim might had a gun... again, with guns being illegal, they still have all the guns they could ever wish for, even AMR, because by making guns illegal, you will only make people who follow the law unarmed, the criminals don't give a damn if its right or wrong, killing is a crime, did it prevent charlie from being murdered? I don't think so, because his assassin is a criminal, they don't follow the law, then why do you think that controlling guns would prevent them from having one? the shooter didn't kill charlie because guns are allowed, the shooter killed charlie because he thinks differently and thought that this was enough reason to kill him, so even if guns were illegal there, he would find a way to have one, it wasn't the 2nd amendment that motivated the shooter, it was different political opinions, and no one should ever die for their opinions, if their opinions are criminal, they should be brought to justice, not assassinated in cold blood, making guns easy like in texas isn't the right way to do it, but making it completely illegal like in brazil isn't as well
