In Ireland the 'pfand' equivalent can only be spent in the store where the machines are... Not transferable at all, and only usable in supermarkets.. (the one where you returned the bottles) #scampfand🤦🏻

I have the impession some people do not understand the system of „Pfand“. When you buy a bottle you pay the price for the product plus the 0,15-0,25€ Pfand per bottle (depends on the type of bottle). So the Pfand is paid when buying a bottle. To make sure the bottles find their way back to the stores (and then being refilled) that is what the Pfand is for. So you return the bottle and get the Pfand/desposit back.
