Big Four secret - go for Tax. Pays more and it’s 9-5. Still qualify as an accountant and then can transfer to finance if that’s what you prefer.

big 4 isn’t too bad, the hours can be rough at points but overall i’ve enjoyed it - started on the upper end of 30k and 2 years later its £50k

Fast Stream was great for me. Depends which department you emd up at but I started on 30k 3.5 yrs ago and I'm now on 64k outside London.

Labour govt got everyone thinking anyone on £50k is a high earner. All so HMRC can collect more tax. Don't be fooled - even £100k isn't enough in London.
