I think that assuming him being hit in the jugular was a result of an expert marksman perfectly aiming for a very thin vein from 200 yards away is illogical. what you'd have to concede is at least just as likely (and I'd argue more likely) is that someone aimed at his head, didn't adjust for bullet drop enough, so ended up hitting his throat and got lucky. that's because snipers or marksmen do not train to aim for throats, they train to aim for heads because they are larger, because even at 200 hards, standard deviation for a rifle calibre bullet is still going to be more than a few millimetres, which is enough to throw off even a perfectly aimed shot and so not hit whay is, again, a very thin tube
