A player driven economy isn't new in MMOs lol GW2, New World, RuneScape, EverQuest 2, EVE - GW2 is the only one I know of that actually has a functional economy to this day. They implemented listings fees and transaction taxes to balance how much a single player or massive guild can truly influence the market to their advantage.

Player driven economy untill it isn't. If the game does well it will be controlled by bots. If the game runs bad and profits are not as desired it will be controlled by the devs.

The idea is fun until one guild becomes the most powerful and now essentially control the game. New world hurt from this.
