@thattravelexpert: Rishikesh is a beautiful city tucked away on the banks of the River Ganges up in the north of India. With the foothills of the Himalaya behind it and a sacred river running through it, it’s become a centre for both spiritual and adventure tourism in India. I’ve never been anywhere quite like it. It’s a place where you can do white water rafting in the morning, meditate at lunch, bungee jump in the afternoon, and then yoga at sunset. Not sure those things should all really be combined in one day, but you could if you were so inclined. Considered by many to be the “birthplace of yoga”, it’s definitely a place to check out if that’s your thing, or if you’re generally interested in forms of eastern spirituality. #rishikesh #india #ganges #himalaya #indiatravel
