Honestly it could be luxating patella. Take him to the vet. Our dog loved the attention after coming back from the wet so did this for attention later.

Dogs can fake for attention. But you should feel his leg for reactions and check he has nothing burrowed in his paw. If he keeps doing it consider taking him.

Mine did this and I checked for injuries/cuts she was fine when I touched her paw. Her leg just had a cramp and wouldn't extend her leg. I gave her dog Tylenol. She was fine in a few hours. She got it after jumping off the couch and another time while running along the fence and stepping on a sprinkler head.

My dog does the same thing but he seems okay lol he walks normally jumps off the bed walks down the stairs I think it’s like a form of coping mechanism or something. Then again he old too lol but I don’t think it’s nothing to worry about unless your doggy is crying of pain and can’t put pressure down on its paw.

Looks up luxating patella in dogs, very common in small breeds
