She isn't claiming she invented this method, she's simply telling you what products and steps she uses to see results. Not everyone knows their ancestors routines, or others ancestors for that matter I never had a mom to teach me. I appreciate her knowledge and recommendations. She hasn't trademarked these steps.

Coconut oil is a protein. It’s not actually that hydrating. It makes your hair strong but only strong. I found that with my hair I need and something actually hydrated like olive oil. Or it won’t grow
