it's not a lie. and it's not about hurting the baby. it's just awkward. I think to myself how can I look at my kid the same after it's bron knowing what I did while it was in there. I guess it even feels a bit disrespectful to your baby.

My best friend is the most AMAZING mom but hates being pregnant. I loved being pregnant and struggle to be a mom. Both are valid. She just had her baby in the end of July and I’m so happy for her. Postpartum glow is real! She’s gorggggg

I am so gross looking, not in my healthiest… but Alex saying pregnancy is a “season of life” made me wanna tear up. There is a light at the end of this. I’ll have my glow up. Right now I need to just give into the tiredness and nap and feel blessed I’m able to satisfy my cravings

Pregnancy and post partum was very hard for me the first time around because of this reason. I had spent years working out and building muscle that I was proud of, and watching it disappear was very sad for me.

I had nausea until the end of the pregnancy 😬 Also it's awful, but it will end. As Alex said 'It isn't forever'. Also 'I wanted to be the fit pregnant lady' sounds more like some weird image she expected to fulfill.

I also thought I’d be able to work out during pregnancy to remain healthy fit. I also thought I’d be able to work til the very end. Pregnancy humbled me REALLY QUICK. All I could do was sleep and eat. I was so freaking tired all the damn time and no it never got better.

each pregnancy can be wildly different. with my son, I was a literal gargoyle. sick, tired, face & hair lacked any semblance of a glow and I gained 75 lbs. with my daughter, I only gained 30 lbs, felt good most of my pregnancy and my skin and hair were absolutely stunning. I felt so beautiful during that time. Alex is right. Give yourself some grace. The reward greatly out weighs the sacrifice.
