I talked a flight attendant that was in the air that day. She told me they had to emergency land and couldn’t tell the passengers about it until they landed. This is wild telling them in the air

These random reports that weren’t true at the end was how the whole day was… I feel like it’s hard to articulate to the younger generation the actual fear of the unknown that day because the internet wasn’t prolific yet and cell phones weren’t that popular yet. When the news reported all flights have been grounded…. A sigh of relief happened across the rooms I was in.

I had a very similar experience. I found out on the plane coming going back to NY from Miami. We stopped in Raleigh and got stuck there for over a week. I will NEVER forget the cry/scream from the flight attendant because her friend was in one of the flights. I have her scream ingrained in my brain.
