Freedom of speech does not include a right to incite violence. Charlie made a career of inflammatory and violent remarks about already marginalized groups. Did he deserve to die? No. But this isn’t a free speech issue. It’s a gun control issue.

That’s not what free speech is about. Your speech is protected from govt interference. It doesn’t mean speech doesn’t come with consequences. (Not condoning the assassination, but we need to remember that words are weapons too)

The sad part is many people the freedom of speech, SOLEY TO INCITE VIOLENCE. They need to differentiate speech versus inciting violence against someone you just flat out disagree with.

Not to say I personally agree with it but you know what’s covered under free speech? Burning the flag. Go watch some Fox reruns about flag burning and try this video again. Just be consistent that’s all that’s asked.

Charlie Kirk once said some gun deaths were an ‘acceptable cost’ to keep the Second Amendment. In the end, he became a victim of the very lack of gun control he defended. People will mourn him loudly now, while innocent children lost to gun violence — and children in places like Iran and Palestine — never received the same outrage. I didn’t agree with his views, but death should never be the price of politics. My thoughts are with his family

It’s crazy to see people all of the sudden posting about a podcaster but have always been silent on congressmen who’ve been targeted, or when it’s kids in schools, grocery stores, theaters, a club, etc. it’s mind blowing to see the empathy for people with crazy beliefs and never for anything else that’s happened even when it’s much worse.
