My Mom gets upset when I don’t call her once a week so she can vent about everything. Call lasts an hour. There’s about 10 minutes of conversation about what I’m up to.

I told my parents to let me know when they were taking the raft out on the river and where they were going to make sure if they didn’t return or check in on time I knew to call in the Calvary. I get nothing until she calls me saying “we just tipped over, I have no idea where your dad is some strange man just saved my life” my dad has a prosthetic leg and cannot swim 😅

literally my mother who went in for what i thought was a quick outpatient procedure actually got admitted into the icu post-op. i also didn’t know until about it until AFTER she was out of surgery when my uncle called.
