I don’t understand why single people get taxed the most because we suffer the most. A married couple can still get a one bedroom apartment and have a double income, but a single person still needs that one bedroom apartment, but only has one income, but yet we get taxed the most.

Married filing jointly only saves you money in taxes if just one spouse is working otherwise it does not do anything

The jump from 12 to 24% is ludacris, it should be 14% for anything after 70k, 48k is such a low bar for such a high rate
